Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all work carried out by Newys Removals LTD. By booking a job you agree to the terms below.
Quotations and pricing
Quotes are based on the information you provide, including photos, descriptions, access details and the volume of items. The final price is confirmed before we start work. If the job changes on arrival — for example, if there is significantly more waste than described or access is restricted — the price may be adjusted and agreed with you before we proceed.
Cancellation
You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed arrival time. Cancellations made within 24 hours may be charged a cancellation fee to cover lost time and fuel.
What we will not take
For safety, legal and licensing reasons we cannot remove the following unless agreed in advance:
- Hazardous waste, chemicals, oils or solvents
- Asbestos or materials likely to contain asbestos
- Liquid paint, wet paint tins or large quantities of paint
- Gas bottles, cylinders, fuel canisters or fire extinguishers
- Fridges, freezers, air conditioning units or other cooling appliances without prior notice
- Explosives, firearms or illegal substances
If you are unsure whether we can take something, send us a photo or ask before the job.
Liability and insurance
We carry public liability insurance and take care when handling your property. Our liability is limited to the value of the work being carried out or the item being moved, unless negligence is proven. We are not liable for damage caused by items that were already broken, poorly packed or unsafe to move, or for damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Payment
Payment is due on completion of the job unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, bank transfer and card payments where available. For some larger jobs we may ask for a deposit before the work begins.
Waste carrier duty of care
Newys Removals LTD is a licensed waste carrier. We dispose of waste responsibly and aim to recycle wherever possible. For waste removals we can provide a waste transfer note on request, in line with our duty of care under UK waste regulations.
